The $$PLACER^PSSUTLA1 API will return the CPRS (Computerized Patient Record System) internal entry number of the ORDER File (#100) from the pharmacy file that contains the order, by using the pharmacy order number passed in. It was created specifically for the VPR (Virtual Patient Record) need of this information to retrieve all the latest medication administrations in BCMA (Barcode Medication Administration). See DBIA 3373 for complete details. The $$LOC^PSSUTLA1 API will return the location associated with the pharmacy order from the pharmacy file. It was created specifically for VPR, to ensure that an entering organization can be identified for all medication orders. See DBIA 3373 for complete details. There will be no functionality changes in CPRS or in any VistA application as a result of installing this patch. These new APIs will not be invoked until future releases of other patches.
