Sites will need to review every Radiology order more than 60 days past the Clinically Indicated Date (CID) i.e., 'Date Desired', and have the ordering provider review to determine when it should be scheduled. Radiology Staff can use the menu option "Pending/Hold Rad/Nuc Med Request Log" to review these orders. The log report is sorted chronologically by Desired Date/time. The new reasons will allow sites to pull a list of patients that are in the process of clinical review. Resolution A: ------------- The NRPO has released new radiology cancel/hold reasons to be loaded into the RAD/NUC MED REASON file(#75.2). This patch is being released with an EMERGENCY priority and will be fast-tracked. Install Time - less than 2 minutes 1. Load Transport Global: ---------------------- Choose the PackMan message containing this patch and invoke the INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE PackMan option. 2. Start Up KIDS: -------------- Start up the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu [XPD MAIN]: Edits and Distribution ... Utilities ... Installation ... Select Kernel Installation & Distribution System Option: INStallation Load a Distribution Print Transport Global Compare Transport Global to Current System Verify Checksums in Transport Global Install Package(s) Restart Install of Package(s) Unload a Distribution Backup a Transport Global Select Installation Option: 3. Select Installation Option: --------------------------- When prompted for the INSTALL NAME, enter RA*5.0*171 a. Backup a Transport Global - This option will create a backup message of any routines exported with this patch. It will not backup any other changes such as DD's or templates. b. Compare Transport Global to Current System - This option will allow you to view all changes that will be made when this patch is installed. It compares all components of this patch (routines, DD's, templates, etc.). c. Verify Checksums in Transport Global - This option will allow you to ensure the integrity of the routines that are in the transport global. 4. Backout/Roll-back Strategy: =========================== Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. A national help desk ticket should be logged before attempting any backout procedures. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed up routines onto the VistA System.
