$TXT Created by VISTA-LOAD-AITC-5.AAC.DOMAIN.EXT (KIDS) on Tuesday, 03/24/20 at 10:20 ============================================================================= Run Date: MAY 05, 2020 Designation: SD*5.3*735 Package : SD - SCHEDULING Priority: EMERGENCY Version : 5.3 SEQ #604 Status: Released Compliance Date: MAY 15, 2020 ============================================================================= Associated patches: (v)SD*5.3*730 <<= must be installed BEFORE `SD*5.3*735' Subject: MODIFICATIONS TO HEALTHCARE CLAIMS PROCESSING SYSTEM (HCPS) CONSULTS - COVID-19 Category: - Routine Description: ============ The VHA Office of Community Care has designated HealthShare Referral Manager (HSRM) a COVID-19 Application. In order for HSRM to properly support care for veterans, associated VistA patches must be tested and installed into production nationally. SD*5.3*735 is associated with HSRM. The Community Care Referrals and Authorizations (CCR&A) application is an enterprise-wide system used by Community Care (CC) staff to automatically generate referrals and authorizations for all Veterans receiving care in the community. Clinical and Veterans Affairs (VA) CC staff located at VA Medical Centers, Outpatient Clinics, Community Based Outpatient Clinics, and Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) offices use this application. The CCR&A solution is an integral component of the VA Community Care Information Technology (IT) architecture that allows Veterans to receive care from Community Providers. This patch implements additional checks to determine if an appointment action is completed or rejected by VistA. This patch is introducing new VistA messages that are sent to the GMRC HSRM SIU HL7 MESSAGES VistA mail group. These checks also return a Health Level 7 (HL7) negative acknowledgement to the HealthShare Referral Management (HSRM) HealthConnect server if the appointment action can't be completed. This patch requires the sites to add a generic non-count clinic to the VistA HOSPITAL LOCATION File (#44). This clinic must be added prior to installing the patch. The COM CARE-OTHER clinic is being used to schedule a community care consult when the consult service can't be matched to any other clinic. This reduces the possibility of an appointment notification from HSRM not being able to file at that VistA station. Refer to Documentation Retrieval Instructions below for additional information regarding the setup of this clinic. This patch also edits the CCRA-NAK HL7 Logical Link to set the INSTITUTION field to null. The INSTITUTION field was set to the VistA Institution Number. The only HL7 Logical Link at a VistA site with the INSTITUTION field populated should be the site's main HL7 Listener. Having more than one HL7 Logical Link where the INSTITUTION field is set can cause issues when other applications are looking for a specific HL7 link by Institution Number. Sites were notified of this new clinic creation via the updated CLINIC PROFILE MANAGEMENT GUIDE distributed in February 2020. All sites should have created this clinic in VistA prior to the patch installation. This new clinic name is COM CARE-OTHER. Installers should check the HOSPITAL LOCATION (#44) File to ensure this clinic has been setup. If the clinic has not been created please create a Service Now (SNOW) ticket and indicate in the description that the ticket should be routed to HSRM Tier 1 support. Setup/Configuration Instructions: --------------------------------- These steps can be completed with users on the system, however we recommend that you perform this installation during non-peak hours. This should take less than 15 minutes to configure. NOTE: Patch SD*5.3*730 must be installed prior to installing patch This patch can be queued for later installation. 1.
