This patch will resolve issues found following the release of Inbound eRx version 4.0. Patch Components: ----------------- Files & Fields Associated: -------------------------- See Technical Document Defect Tracking System Ticket(s) & Overview: -------------------------------------------- 1. INC16864912 - eRx patient instruction (SIG) text truncated on VistA screen. Jira Defect (EPRESCRIB-3441) Problem: ------- SIG text is can to be up to 1000 characters. However, this text string is getting truncated in instances where there are no (or very few) spaces in the text string. This resulted in truncation of the text that describes the maximum insulin dosages of a sliding scale a patient can self-administer. This poses a significant patient safety risk Resolution: ---------- Modified TXT2ARY^PSOERXD1 to check for the existence of the identified delimiter in the first segment. If the delimiter is not present in the first segment, treat the entire data set as though there is no delimiter. This will then break the data up into segments based on the identified length. 2. INC16414576 - Inbound eRx software assigns wrong unit of measure in RxRenewal Request. Jira Defect (EPRESCRIB - 3413) Problem: ------- Inbound eRx software patch PSO*7*581 assigned wrong quantity unit of measure value to the 'dispensed medication' section of outbound RxRenewal Request message. Resolution: ---------- Modified PSOERXOF to send the current quantity unit of measure if the quantity did not change, and 'unspecified' if the quantity is different than prescribed. Jira Defects: ------------- 3. EPRESCRIB-3410 Problem: ------- RxRenewal Request failing at hub because "IndicationForUse" segment is not sending in "Sig" segment. Resolution: ---------- Modified PSOERXIF, PSOERXII, PSOERXOJ and PSOERXOK to store and build the indication for use segment that appears within the instructions segment. Created a new subfile (INDICATION FOR USE - #52.493111267) under the INSTRUCTIONS subfile (#52.4931112) to store the indication for use values. 4. EPRESCRIB - 3408 Problem: ------- NewRx coming in with ObservationDateTime, causing a failure at the eRx processing hub when generating an RxRenewal Request. Resolution: ---------- Modified PSOERXID to properly store the date/time element if it is received. Modified PSOERXIU to properly display the date for the height/weight elements. 5. EPRESCRIB - 3407 Problem: ------- Update Data Dictionary - ERX SERVICE REASON CODES file #52.45 Resolution: ---------- Added CODE TYPE ABBREVIATION field (#.03) to the build, so the DD is updated properly. This field was missed in PSO*7*581. 6. EPRESCRIB - 3415 Problem: ------- ACR codes in ERX SERVICE REASON CODES file 52.45 have an extra space at the end. Resolution: ---------- Created PSO635PO post install that removes the trailing space in ACR codes 7. EPRESRCIB - 3447 Problem: ------- VA 'Refills' displaying incorrectly for RxRenewal response replace response messages. Resolution: ---------- Modified PSOERX1 to properly decrement VARFL when the message type is an RxRenewal response 8. EPRESRCIB - 3455/EPRESCRIB - 3484 Problem: ------- When editing the Validate Drug/SIG for Replace RxRenewal Response, eRx refills are not decrementing correctly and incorrectly displays the # of Refills. Resolution: ---------- Modified PSOERX1 to properly decrement VARFL when the message type is an rxrenewal response. Modified PSOERD1 to properly decrement refills for an rxrenewal response - replace message. Back-Out/Roll Back Plan: ------------------------ Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed-up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed-up routines onto the VistA System. The back-out plan is to restore the routines from the backup created. In the event there is an issue with any modified data elements, a follow-up patch will be created to resolve any issues. Validation of Back-Out Procedure: --------------------------------- The Back-out Procedure can be verified by printing the first 2 lines of the PSO Routines contained in this patch using the option First Line Routine Print [XU FIRST LINE PRINT]. Once the routines contained in the PSO*7.0*635 patch have been backed out, the second line of the Routines will no longer contain the designation of patch PSO*7.0*635 in the patch list section. Routine Information: ==================== The second line of each of these routines now looks like: ;;7.0;OUTPATIENT PHARMACY;**[Patch List]**;DEC 1997;Build 19 The checksums below are new checksums, and can be checked with CHECK1^XTSUMBLD.
