This is necessary due to the fact that some third-party vendors are utilizing the remote procedure call (RPC) for the display in order to transmit vitals to commercial off the shelf (COTS) applications. Specifically, an issue has been identified with the CIS/ARK systems. If your site is using a CIS/ARK system, you need to verify that the correction from Document Storage Systems (DSS) has been installed for use by your vendor. Your vendor could be Draeger, Philips, imDSoft, or PICIS. Some implementations on systems such as Picis (ICU) may choose to import height, weight, and temperature while others may opt to key those values in. It is important that before enabling the display swap, you coordinate with the coordinators for those systems.
