Grandfathering refers to these API's allowing providers to prescribe CS Federal Scheduled drugs when they had never been authorized to prescribe any CS Federal scheduled drugs. With this project, providers are now required to have schedule-specific permissions. An additional update to the $$SDEA API in the XUSER routine removes functionality that had been deleting a provider's DEA# and VA# from the NEW PERSON file (#200) when the provider attempted to enter a controlled substance order in CPRS but was not authorized for any CS Federal Schedules in the NEW PERSON file (#200).
