This field contains all special instructions, provider comments, or other print information pertinent to this order. The NTE notes segment in the HL7 message (i.e. "NTE^6^L" and "NTE^21^L") is not removing the data correctly when it gets an update into the BCMA BACKUP DATA (#53.7) file. This is the reason why it is displaying incorrectly in BCBU workstation. Solution: --------- Updated the routine ALPBHL1U to get the correct piece of data before it gets updated into the BCBA BACKUP DATA (#53.7) file. Technical Resolution: --------------------- This patch changes the routine ALPBHL1U at line tag NTE+38 to get piece 4 of the variable NEWALPB(I) for Other Info, otherwise use use the current process before it gets updated into the BCMA BACKUP DATA (#53.7) file. Post-Installation Overview: --------------------------- None. Back-out/Rollback Strategy: --------------------------- Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routine in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed up routine can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed up routine onto the VistA System. The back-out plan is to restore the routine from the backup created. No data was modified by this patch installation and, therefore, no rollback strategy is required. Validation of Roll Back Procedure: ---------------------------------- The Roll Back Procedure can be verified by printing the first 2 lines of the ALPBHL1U Routine contained in this patch using the option First Line Routine Print [XU FIRST LINE PRINT]. Once the routine contained in the PSB*3.0*129 patch has been rolled back, the first two lines of the routine will no longer contain the designation of this patch in the patch list section on line 2. Routine Information: ==================== The second line of each of these routines now looks like: ;;3.0;BAR CODE MED ADMIN;**[Patch List]**;May 2002;Build 5 The checksums below are new checksums, and can be checked with CHECK1^XTSUMBLD.
