INC27372882 - Misleading help text when admitting a patient Problem: -------- Site is seeing misleading Help text when using the option Admit a Patient [DG ADMIT PATIENT] and entering a future date at the 'Select ADMISSION DATE' prompt. Future dates are not permitted for an admission date and the Help text needs to reflect that position. Resolution: ----------- Modified the routines that handle the date check and any subsequent logic and text that is displayed to the user as it relates to a valid entry for 'ADMISSION DATE'. The text will now display the following: Examples of Valid Dates: JAN 20 1957 or 20 JAN 57 or 1/20/57 or 012057 T (for TODAY), T-1 (for YESTERDAY), T-3W (for 3 WEEKS AGO), etc. If the year is omitted, the computer uses CURRENT YEAR. Two digit year assumes no future year or more than 80 years in the past. You may omit the precise day, as: JAN, 1957 If only the time is entered, the current date is assumed. Follow the date with a time, such as JAN 20@10, T@10AM, 10:30, etc. You may enter a time, such as NOON, MIDNIGHT or NOW. Seconds may be entered as 10:30:30 or 103030AM. Time cannot be in future and is REQUIRED in this response. Future dates/time are not valid. For future dates/time please use option: Schedule an Admission Routines: DGPMV2, DGPMV21 Test sites: ----------- VA Pittsburgh Health Care System (Pittsburgh University Dr., H. J.
