$TXT Created by MHDEV.DEVSLC.DOMAIN.EXT (KIDS) on Thursday, 07/18/24 at 12:06 ============================================================================= Run Date: OCT 02, 2024 Designation: YS*5.01*252 Package : YS - MENTAL HEALTH Priority: Mandatory Version : 5.01 SEQ #184 Status: Released Compliance Date: NOV 02, 2024 ============================================================================= Associated patches: (v)YS*5.01*249 <<= must be installed BEFORE `YS*5.01*252' Subject: FIX MHA LOCKING ISSUE Category: - Routine Description: ============ This patch addresses a locking issue that occurs when VistA creates an entry in the MH file for MHA administrations (i.e., MH ADMINISTRATIONS (#601.84)). When adding the entry, it locks the record, however, it does not unlock the record when complete. Also, the type of locking method it is using to lock the record (i.e., a non-incremental lock), causes all the other locks the process is holding to be unlocked. This can cause issues to other applications (e.g., if a user was administering an MHA assessment from a CPRS Reminder as the lock on the progress note currently being worked on will get unlocked. This will allow another user to edit the same progress note at the same time). The process has been updated to properly lock and unlock the file when saving an administration.
