Join a Clinical Context 
If your workstation has been configured for CCOW, 
 a clinical link is automatically active, and will remain active unless 
 you break the clinical link. 
 
To manually join the clinical context, select Rejoin 
 Clinical Link from the File menu. 

	If you want the other open applications to synchronize with the 
	 current patient in the active application, select Use this Application’s 
	 Data. 
	If you want the current application to synchronize with the patient 
	 that is open in another application, select Use Global Data.
	
	For example, if CPRS is running and VITPATIENT,ONE is the active patient, 
	 you can select Use Global Data in Vitals to automatically open 
	 VITPATIENT,ONE in Vitals. 

The CCOW icon changes to Active and all open VistA applications are synchronized.
