INC40209555 - Patient instructions disappear from order after accepting the order. Problem 1: ----------- When finalizing and accepting Inpatient Pharmacy complex orders, when the order is modified before accepting, special instructions are being overwritten and only "Instructions too long. See Order View or BCMA for full text" is displayed. If certain fields are edited during acceptance of the order, the system creates a new pending order and transcribes the data from the original order to the new order. This works correctly for single/simple orders, but for complex orders, the Special Instructions are not being transcribed to the new IENs. Resolution 1 ------------ Missing special instructions are corrected with changes to one routine, ^PSJCOM1. This program supports the processing of complex orders in this scenario. It is modified to correctly transcribe the Special Instructions field to the new order when an edited order is being accepted. 2. INC41051776 - Indication disappears from order after accepting the order. Problem 2: ----------- When finalizing and accepting Inpatient Pharmacy complex orders, when the order is modified before accepting, the indication field data is deleted. If certain fields are edited during acceptance of the order, the system creates a new pending order and transcribes the data from the original order to the new order. This works correctly for single/simple orders, but for complex orders, the Indication field is not being transcribed to the new IENs. Resolution 2: -------------- Missing indication, are corrected with changes to one routine, ^PSJCOM1. This program supports the processing of complex orders in this scenario. Back-Out/Roll Back Plan: ------------------------ Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed-up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed up routines onto the VistA System. If the patch was backed up for the build, from the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu, select the Installation Menu. Then select the Install Package(s) option and choose the patch (PSJ*5.0*465b) to install. The back-out plan is to restore the routines from the backup created. No data was modified by this patch installation and, therefore no rollback strategy is required.
