This release was developed as part of the Medical Care Collection Fund (MCCF) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Transaction Application Suite (TAS) project. Below is a list of all the applications involved in this project along with their patch numbers: APPLICATION/VERSION PATCH --------------------------------------------------------------- ELECTRONIC CLAIMS MANAGEMENT ENGINE (ECME) V. 1.0 BPS*1*30 OUTPATIENT PHARMACY (OP) V. 7.0 PSO*7*562 INTEGRATED BILLING (IB) V. 2.0 IB*2*649 CMOP V. 2.0 PSX*2*92 PHARMACY DATA MANAGEMENT V. 1.0 PSS*1*252 All five of these patches are being released via a Kernel Installation and Distribution System (KIDS) multi-build distribution. KIDS multi-build name: BPS PSO IB PSX PSS BUNDLE 18.0 KIDS Host File name: BPS_1_30_PSO_IB_PSX_PSS.KID This patch contains the following functionality: --------------------------------------------------------- 1. The system is being updated to synchronize NCPDP field names across various VistA files. Field names in BPS CLAIMS, BPS RESPONSES and BPS PAYER RESPONSE OVERRIDES will be updated to match what is in BPS NCPDP FIELD DEFS. This will reduce the risk of error or confusion, making the system easier to understand. 2. The system is being updated so that the logic of how reject code 943 is handled matches that of reject code 88. 3. Logic is being added to prevent inactive Claims Tracking Non-Billable Reason codes from being displayed when closing a claim. With this update, only active Claims Tracking Non-Billable Reason codes will be eligible for display and selection.
