This release was developed as part of the Medical Care Collection Fund (MCCF) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Transaction Application Suite (TAS) project. Below is a list of all the applications involved in this project along with their patch numbers: APPLICATION/VERSION PATCH --------------------------------------------------------------- ELECTRONIC CLAIMS MANAGEMENT ENGINE (ECME) V. 1.0 BPS*1*35 OUTPATIENT PHARMACY (OP) V. 7.0 PSO*7*702 INTEGRATED BILLING (IB) V. 2.0 IB*2*712 PHARMACY DATA MANAGEMENT (PSS) V. 1.0 PSS*1*260 These patches are being released via a Kernel Installation and Distribution System (KIDS) multi-build distribution. KIDS multi-build name: BPS PSO IB PSS BUNDLE 23.0 KIDS Host File name: BPS_1_35_PSO_IB_PSS.KID This patch contains the following functionality: --------------------------------------------------------- 1. The system is being updated to support ECL and NCPDP field updates as prescribed by the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) Implementation Guide versions published through October 2022. 2. The system is being updated to provide the ability to inactivate certain ECL code values based on the published National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) quarterly updates. This patch adds a check to identify inactive BPS NCPDP DAW Codes (Dispense as Written). Inactive codes will not display to the user, prohibiting them from being included on an outgoing claim request. 3. The system is being updated to include a ZZ prefix on specific ECL values to serve as a visual cue that the value should not be used due to having been sunset by NCPDP. 4. The system is being updated to allow rejects for TRICARE/CHAMPVA dual-eligible patients to be resubmitted from the ECME User Screen. 5. Currently, if a TRICARE/CHAMPVA prescription has more than one reason it is non-billable, the system does not always display all reasons to the user. With this release, the system is being modified so that all non-billable reasons will be displayed.
