Issue #1 The following Data Dictionary change has been made to the TREATING FACILITY LIST (#391.91) file. A new cross-reference, "AISS", was needed for the James A Lovell joint VA/Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Center in North Chicago. This cross-reference is on the INSTITUTION (#.02) and the fully qualified ID, which is based on the SOURCE ID (#11), ASSIGNING AUTHORITY (#10), and SOURCE ID TYPE (#.09) fields. Post-init routine, DG53856P, is queued to run in the background. It traverses the entries in TREATING FACILITY LIST (#391.91) file and sets the new "AISS" cross-reference. Code changes have been made in routine VAFCTFU2 to use the "AISS" cross-reference. Data Dictionary changes distributed in patch DG*5.3*837 removed the SOURCE ID and IDENTIFIER STATUS fields at the multiple (sub-file) level and moved the fields to the file level in the TREATING FACILITY LIST (#391.91) file. Previously, QUERYTF^VAFCTFU2 returned one record for a PATIENT/INSTITUTION. Due to the DD change, the QUERYTF module in routine VAFCTFU2 will now return all entries from the "APAT" cross-reference for all sites. Issue #2 After the installation of patch DG*5.3*837, VISN 1 and Providence VAMC reported an issue with DATE LAST TREATED (#.03) and ADT/HL7 EVENT REASON (#.07) not being updated consistently in the TREATING FACILITY LIST (#391.91) file. Those facilities generate local reports on the file to get information regarding admissions, discharges, or clinic check-outs. In DG*5.3*837, additional parameters were added to the FILE^VAFCTFU API; however, the downstream routine that called the API was not modified for the additional parameters. For patch DG*5.3*856, code changes will establish default values for the VAFCTFU parameters so that downstream routines function correctly again without having to be modified. The past DATE LAST TREATED (#.03) and ADT/HL7 EVENT REASON (#.07) (those that occurred beginning with the installation of DG*5.3*837) will not be recovered in the TREATING FACILITY LIST (#391.91) file. However, as normal patient activity occurs, the DATE LAST TREATED (#.03) and ADT/HL7 EVENT REASON (#.07) will be populated moving forward. Issue #3 After the installation of patch DG*5.3*837, a number of facilities indicated that the Register Once functionality was unable to pull data from a shared facility. The records were linking to the MPI, but the data to be pulled from the remote shared site as part of Register Once was not happening. Facilities reported the following display: The query to the LST has been terminated because required information was not provided by the MPI. Data retrieval from LST site has not been successful. Please continue the Registration Process. This issue was also caused by the changes to the FILE^VAFCTFU API. By adding default values as new parameters, the Register Once functionality is restored.
