The Virtual Patient Record (VPR) software package has requested to receive a notification when entries in the SCHEDULED ADMISSION file (#41.1) are added, updated or removed. This patch fulfills that request. There are no end-user functionality changes in this patch. INC12994406 Error for patient record not found and invalid institution parameter Problem: -------- When a user modifies one of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes associated with a patient's admission after that patient is discharged, the DG PTF ICD CODE NOTIFIER is unable to determine the patient's division. This prevents the Clinical Reminders package from processing such a notification and instead generates an email message with the text "Error retrieving Women's Health managers: Patient record not found and invalid institution parameter". Resolution: ----------- For discharged patients, the notifier is modified to use the FACILITY field (#3) in the PTF file (#45) to determine a discharged patient's division. 2. Jazz 1298423 Latency in Non-VistA Software Problem: -------- Users of DSS's VIP-W software and VBMS reported a latency of two to three minutes when updating codes in the PTF file (#45). Resolution: ----------- All the new-style indexes released in patch DG*5.3*932 are removed and consolidated into three new-style indexes in the PTF file (#45) and one new-style index in the INPATIENT CPT CODE file (#46). The code that detects when ICD codes are added, updated or removed for both of those files was re-written to work with the new index design and improve efficiency of the code.
