The national release date is April 7, 2021, with a one-day compliance period. This patch must be installed at all VistA sites by close of business on Thursday, April 8, 2021. The functionality should not be used at the VistA sites until Monday, April 12, 2021, when the corresponding Enrollment System (ES) functionality will be available for all end users. If this functionality is used in VistA before the ES functionality is available, the record will be placed on "AWAITING APPLICATION ACKNOWLEDGEMENT" in VistA. On ES, it will result in No Enrollment Determination and the ORU/ORFZ07 Health Level 7 (HL7) message will fail to process. ************************************************************************** ************************************************************************** Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) Registration, Eligibility & Enrollment (REE) patch DG*5.3*1049 is being released to support enhancements for the Enterprise Health Benefits Determination (EHBD) program. This patch focuses on updates for the Enrollment System Modernization (ESM) Phase 3 project. Patch DG*5.3*1049 is being released in support of the ES 5.15.2 release. Refer to Informational Patch EAS*1*200 (Enrollment Application System) for additional details regarding the ES release. The VA will offer COVID-19 vaccinations to employees for multiple federal agencies, irrespective of their Veteran status. These employees who are unknown to the VA system will be registered as non-Veterans with a Primary Eligibility of OTHER FEDERAL AGENCY. This selection allows the user to then select the appropriate agency from a list. This patch should take less than 5 minutes to install. It should NOT be installed while the IVM BACKGROUND JOB [IVM BACKGROUND JOB] is running. 1. The IVM BACKGROUND JOB [IVM BACKGROUND JOB] should be unscheduled. Use the Schedule/Unschedule Options [XUTM SCHEDULE] option on the TaskMan Management [XUTM MGR] menu. Note the currently scheduled date/time. 2. The HL7 incoming/outgoing filers should be stopped. Stop All Messaging Background Processes by using the [HL STOP ALL] option on the Filer and Link Management Options [HL MENU FILER LINK MGT] menu on the HL7 Main Menu [HL MAIN MENU]. Installation Instructions: -------------------------- 1. Choose the PackMan message containing this build. Then select the INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE PackMan option to load the build. 2. From the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu, select the Installation Menu. From this menu, A. Select the Verify Checksums in Transport Global option to confirm the integrity of the routines that are in the transport global. When prompted for the INSTALL NAME enter the patch or build name. (ex. DG*5.3*1049) NOTE: Using will not bring up a Multi-Package build even if it was loaded immediately before this step. It will only bring up the last patch in the build. B. Select the Backup a Transport Global option to create a backup message. You must use this option and specify what to backup; the entire Build or just Routines. The backup message can be used to restore the routines and components of the build to the pre-patch condition. NOTE: The backup will fail unless patch XU*8.0*738 is installed. Patch XU*8.0*738 corrects a bug encountered when backing up a build that does not contain any routines, such as this build. i. At the Installation option menu, select Backup a Transport Global ii. At the Select INSTALL NAME prompt, enter your build DG*5.3*1049 iii. When prompted for the following, enter "R" for Routines or "B" for Build. The IVM BACKGROUND JOB [IVM BACKGROUND JOB] should be rescheduled.
