 This patch provides information and a workaround for an issue that may 
 occur when installing the emergency patch DG*5.3*1049 ADD MULTIPLE ENTRIES
 TO OTHER FEDERAL AGENCY FILE (#35).
  
 Patch DG*5.3*1049 was released on April 7, 2021, with a one-day 
 compliance period of close of business (COB) April 8, 2021.
  
 The installation instructions in the DG*5.3*1049 patch description assume 
 prior installation of Kernel patch XU*8*738, which enables backup of an 
 entire build. 
  
 However, patch XU*8*738 was released on March 15, 2021, with a compliance 
 date of April 15, 2021. Some sites may not have installed the Kernel 
 patch prior to attempting to install DG*5.3*1049.
  
 For installation of patch DG*5.3*1049 without error, sites may choose to 
 either:
  
 1. Install Kernel patch XU*8*738 before installing DG*5.3*1049. In this 
    case, the installation instructions in patch DG*5.3*1049 may be
    followed as provided in the DG*5.3*1049 patch description.
  
 OR
  
 2. At patch DG*5.3*1049 Installation Step B. iii., Enter response "R" for
    Routines instead of "B" for Build:

             Routines or "B" for Build.
  
                Select one of the following:
