$TXT Created by DEVCRN.DOMAIN.EXT (KIDS) on Tuesday, 01/07/25 at 11:15 ============================================================================= Run Date: MAR 20, 2025 Designation: DG*5.3*1139 Package : DG - REGISTRATION Priority: Mandatory Version : 5.3 SEQ #996 Status: Released Compliance Date: APR 20, 2025 ============================================================================= Associated patches: (v)DG*5.3*1050 <<= must be installed BEFORE `DG*5.3*1139' (v)DG*5.3*1111 <<= must be installed BEFORE `DG*5.3*1139' Subject: MASTER VETERAN INDEX VISTA ENHANCEMENT - PREFERRED NAME DELETION Category: - Enhancement (Mandatory) - Data Dictionary - Routine Description: ============ DG*5.3*1050 and DG*5.3*1111 are the only required builds for patch DG*5.3*1139. The Master Patient Index (MPI) has made an enhancement to now allow the PREFERRED NAME (#.2405) field in the PATIENT (#2) file to be deleted from the patient's record and to resolve an issue where the address information is being incorrectly filed in the wrong fields in the PATIENT (#2) file when it is entered or pulled down from the Enterprise through the REGISTER A PATIENT menu option. Enhancement In coordination with the Healthcare Identity Management (HC IdM) business office, MPI has deleted the Data Dictionary (DD) "DEL" array node on the PREFERRED NAME (#.2405) field in the PATIENT (#2) file which was preventing the 'Preferred Name' value from being removed/deleted from the patient's record. This deletion will occur as part of the post-initialization routine process. Issue MPI has re-mapped the address field references in routine DPTLK7 so that the Register a Patient [DG REGISTER PATIENT] menu option will now file the Residential and/or Mailing (ie. Correspondence) address information that is either entered or pulled down from the enterprise into the correct location(s). Note: Currently, the Residential Address information is being entered into the original address fields, which now corresponds with the Mailing (ie. Correspondence) Address information. Furthermore, if the Correspondence information is also being returned from the Enterprise search for a known patient it is being discarded.
