The Master Patient Index (MPI) has made an enhancement to the Proxy Add process to allow the Health Administration Center (HAC) MEDS-BY-MAIL site (741MM) to be a preferred facility. Enhancement MPI has updated the logic in routine VAFCPTAD, related to the Proxy Add process in the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) [VAFC VOA ADD PATIENT], to remove the requirement that ensures that the 'preferred facility' for the record being added to the PATIENT (#2) file is a Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) when the transmission is for Station 741MM (HAC MEDS-BY-MAIL). Note: This change is required to support the incorporation of Health Level Seven (HL7) message processing in the relocation of the Health Administration Center (HAC) MEDS-BY-MAIL application.
