This new Residential address is used to calculate geographic distance from a Veteran's home to nearby VA locations more accurately than a Mailing Address. The BT Business Office has requested that the BT application utilize this new Residential address for mileage reimbursement calculations. Resolution: ----------- Routines DGBT1, DGBTALTI, DGBTCR, DGBTCR1, DGBTE, DGBTE1, DGBTEE, DGBTEE2, DGBTEF, DGBTEND, DGBTSP and DGBTUTL1 have been modified to use the Residential Address. Letters intended to be mailed, such as the 70-3542d Claim form and Denial Letters, will still show the Mailing address. Additionally, the BT Dashboard Web Application has been updated to only use Residential Address. This patch should take less than 5 minutes to install. Pre-Installation Instructions: N/A Installation Instructions: 1. Choose the PackMan message containing this build. Then select the INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE PackMan option to load the build. 2. From the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu, select the Installation Menu. From this menu, A. Select the Verify Checksums in Transport Global option to confirm the integrity of the routines that are in the transport global. When prompted for the INSTALL NAME enter the patch or build name DGBT*1.0*39. B. Select the Backup a Transport Global option to create a backup message of any routines exported with this patch. It will not backup any other changes such as DDs or templates. C. You may also elect to use the following options: i. Print Transport Global - This option will allow you to view the components of the KIDS build. ii. Compare Transport Global to Current System - This option will allow you to view all changes that will be made when this patch is installed. It compares all of the components of this patch, such as routines, DDs, templates, etc. D. Select the Install Package(s) option and choose the patch to install. i. If prompted 'Want KIDS to Rebuild Menu Trees Upon Completion of Install? NO//', answer NO ii. When prompted 'Want KIDS to INHIBIT LOGONs during the install? NO//',answer NO iii. When prompted 'Want to DISABLE Scheduled Options, Menu Options, and Protocols? YES//', answer YES a. Browse to the XML source code file retrieved from /srv/vista/patches/SOFTWARE. It can also be obtained by accessing the URL:https://download.vista.domain.ext/ index.html/SOFTWARE 3. Click the Open button. 4. Ensure the Add Imported Items to Project checkbox is not selected and that Compile Imported Items is selected. 5. Click the OK button to import the Beneficiary Travel Dashboard project files. Back-Out/Roll Back Plan: ------------------------ Due to the complexity of this patch, it is not recommended for back-out, and a restore from a backup of the Transport Global should not be attempted. In the event that a site decides to back out this patch, the site should create a ticket in ServiceNow (SNOW). The development team will need to issue a follow-on patch in order to comprehensively back-out this patch and restore the system to a functioning state.
