ES 4.1.2 is a maintenance release of the Enrollment System Core (ESC) application. Updated encryption algorithm for all service user passwords from Triple DES to WASA recommended AES encryption. Removed encrypted password from displaying in page source. 2. CCR 13722. CCR 12942. Updated weblogic configuration to set CookieSecure parameter as true to address WASA vulnerability finding of Web Application Does Not Properly Secure Cookies. 19. CCR 13036. Corrected defect of Z05 not triggered on registering new Vet via AAP when country not entered on AAP search screen. System will now use default country and transmit Z05 upon registration completion. 20. CCR 13999. Corrected defect of orphaned VOA applications remaining on the resubmission screen after veteran has successful application processed. System will now close all pending orphaned applications once successful registration is processed. What to Expect: =============== No changes to any VistA packages are required. During deployment of ES 4.1.2 HL7 messaging to and from ES will be disabled as well as E&E web services and ES to IVM Bi-Directional services. Implementation is expected to take less than 8 hours. Implementation: =============== ESR 4.1.2 is a centrally managed web-based application and will be implemented as a one-time rollout by the ES Technical team and the AITC. No software will be installed at the facilities. ES application will be unavailable during the deployment window.
