The Chief Business Office (CBO) consulted with the Fee Service Office and determined that the most efficient way of providing this data to Fee providers is through the authorization process. With the introduction of this patch, Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) Fee will allow a user to record the name and NPI of the referring VA practitioner during the authorization process. The information will then be available for the VA 10-7078 or 10-7079 Fee authorization forms. This patch adds the REFERRING PROVIDER and REFERERING PROVIDER NPI to VA Fee Authorization Forms 10-7078 and 7079. The REFERRING PROVIDER NPI is only printed if the AUTHORIZE RELEASE OF NPI flag is set to YES as determined by the new Kernel Application Program Interface (API) $$GETRLNPI^XUSNPI (IA#5070). The following options were modified to capture the Referring Provider/Practitioner: Enter CNH Authorization [FBCNH ENTER AUTHORIZATION] Edit CNH Authorization [FBCNH EDIT AUTHORIZATION] Enter a Request/Notification [FBCH ENTER REQUEST] Enter Authorization [FBAA ENTER AUTHORIZATION] Notification/Request Edit [FBCH EDIT REQUEST] The following options were modified to print/display the REFERRING PROVIDER and, in some cases, the REFERRING PROVIDER NPI: Display 7078/Authorization [FBCH DISPLAY 7078] Display 7078/Authorization [FBCNH DISPLAY 7078] 7078 Print [FBCH PRINT 7078] 7079 Print for Selected Patient [FBAA PRINT 7079 SINGLE] Group 7079 Print [FBAA PRINT 7079 GROUP] Authorization Display [FBAA AUTHORIZATION DISPLAY] Reinstate State Home Authorization [FBSH REINSTATE AUTH] Delete a State Home Authorization [FBSH DELETE AUTH] Change a State Home Authorization [FBSH CHANGE AUTH] Enter New State Home Authorization [FBSH ENTER AUTH] Payment Listing for Vendor/Veteran [FB VENDOR/VETERAN PAYMENT] Review Fee Prescription [FBAA PHARMACY REVIEW] Patient Re-imbursement [FBAA REIMBURSEMENT PHARMACY] Enter Pharmacy Invoice [FBAA ENTER PHARMACY INVOICE] Terminate ID Card [FBAA TERMINATE ID CARD] Veteran MRA Main Menu [FBAA VETERAN MRA MAIN MENU] Fee Patient Inquiry [FBAA PATIENT INQUIRY] Travel Payment Only [FBAA TRAVEL ENTRY] Reimbursement Payment Entry [FBAA MEDICAL REIMBURSEMENT] Multiple Payment Entry [FBAA MULTIPLE PAYMENT ENTRY] Enter Payment [FBAA ENTER PAYMENT] Delete Payment Entry [FBAA DELETE PAYMENT] C&P/Multiple Patient Payment Entry [FBAA C&P ENTER PAYMENT] Payment History Display [FBAA PAYMENT HISTORY DISPLAY] Enter Authorization [FBAA ENTER AUTHORIZATION] Cancel Authorization Entered in Error [FBCNH CANCEL 7078] Edit CNH Authorization [FBCNH EDIT AUTHORIZATION] 7078 Print [FBCH PRINT 7078] Cancel 7078 Entered in Error [FBCH CANCEL 7078] Complete 7078/Authorization [FBCH COMPLETE 7078] Reconsider a Denied Request [FBCH REOPEN REQUEST] Delete Notification/Request [FBCH DELETE REQUEST] Display a Request/Notification [FBCH DISPLAY REQUEST] Medical Entitlement [FBCH MEDICAL ENTITLEMENT] Legal Entitlement [FBCH LEGAL ENTITLEMENT] Notification/Request Edit [FBCH EDIT REQUEST] Enter a Request/Notification [FBCH ENTER REQUEST] This patch addresses the following New Service Request (NSR): ------------------------------------------------------------- There is no NSR associated with this patch.
