This is necessary because all VA web sites now use the https protocol. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a plan to add Problem List data to the National Surveillance Tool because it uses SNOMED CT an expressive terminology for documenting COVID-19. Reliability of this data requires it to be based on a standard set of codes, which in turn requires an update to the National Problem Selection List to include the recently released SNOMED CT and ICD-10-CM COVID-19 related codes. Because of the critical nature of this update, this patch is being released as an Emergency patch. The Kernel API that is used to download the content for the Selection List import sometimes fails to work properly when the operating system for the VistA instance is Linux. Kernel Toolkit patch XT*7.3*144 corrects this issue, so it is a required patch.
