$TXT Created by COC-CCAD-DEV.AAC.DOMAIN.EXT (KIDS) on Thursday, 05/03/18 at 11:21 ============================================================================= Run Date: JUN 13, 2018 Designation: GMRC*3*96 Package : GMRC - CONSULT/REQUEST TRACKING Priority: Mandatory Version : 3 SEQ #85 Status: Released Compliance Date: JUL 14, 2018 ============================================================================= Associated patches: (v)GMRC*3*28 <<= must be installed BEFORE `GMRC*3*96' (v)GMRC*3*85 <<= must be installed BEFORE `GMRC*3*96' (v)GMRC*3*89 <<= must be installed BEFORE `GMRC*3*96' Subject: GMRC UNIQUE CONSULT SITE ID Category: - Routine - Data Dictionary - Enhancement (Mandatory) Description: ============ ---------------------------------- The One Consult (OC) Unique Consult ID (UCID) is a unique identifier attached to consult records created in Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA). This identifier is designed to be unique across all VA VistA instances, and allows a connection to be maintained across consult artifacts as they are transferred to external systems. Having a way to identify the originating record via the new UCID will improve the coordination of care and continuity of care for VA patients receiving treatment outside of the VA network. This patch will update the code so that the Unique Consult ID (UCID) is created to include the Station ID along with the consult IEN in the format of '999_Consult IEN Number'. This patch contains a new database definition. If assistance is needed to rollback/back out the patch please, log a CA Service Desk Manager (SDM) ticket so the development team can assist in this process. This patch creates a new field #80 UNIQUE CONSULT ID entry in the REQUEST/CONSULTATION file (#123). To back out this database definition, we can use FileMan to delete the entries: VISTA>D P^DI VA FileMan 22.2 Select OPTION: 4 MODIFY FILE ATTRIBUTES Do you want to use the screen-mode version? YES// NO Modify what File: NATURE OF ORDER// 123 REQUEST/CONSULTATION Select FIELD: 80 UNIQUE CONSULT ID LABEL: UNIQUE CONSULT ID // @ SURE YOU WANT TO DELETE THE ENTIRE 'UNIQUE CONSULT ID ' FIELD? Y II. This patch also contains 4 GMRC routines. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed-up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed-up routines onto the VistA System. III. This patch also contains a new PARAMETER (GMRC UNIQUE CONSULT SITE ID). If assistance is needed to rollback/back out the patch please, log a CA Service Desk Manager (SDM) ticket so the development team can assist in this process. To back out this parameter, you can use FileMan to delete the entry: VISTA>D P^DI Select OPTION: 1 ENTER OR EDIT FILE ENTRIES Select PARAMETERS ENTITY: GMRC GMRC CONSULT/REQUEST TRACKING GMRC ...OK? Y Validation of Roll Back Procedure: ---------------------------------- The Roll Back Procedure can be verified by printing the first 2 lines of the four GMRC nes contained in this patch using the option First Line Routine Print [XU FIRST LINE PRINT]. Once the routines contained in the GMRC*3.0*96 patch have been rolled back, the first two lines of the Routines will no longer contain th e designation of patch GMRC*3.0*96 in the patch list section on line 2. Back-out/Rollback Strategy: --------------------------- In the event of a catastrophic failure, the Facility CIO may make the decision to back-out the patch. It is imperative that you have performed a backup of the routines included in this patch prior to installation. The back-out plan is to restore the routines from the backup created. No data was modified by this patch installation and, therefore, no rollback strategy is required. To verify the back-out completed successfully, ensure the checksum matches the pre-patch checksum from the patch descriptions.
