In addition, the Vitals Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications released in this patch have been updated to Delphi 12.3. The first, requested in NSR 20141108 will enhance Vitals to allow sites to make qualifiers required when entering Vital measurements. For example: if weight is being entered, you could require the user to specify the method (standing, bed, etc.) The second, requested in NSR 20150410 will modify how the weight change threshold functions. Currently, the check for weight changes is hard-coded to only look for 20% differences. This patch will modify that to allow a more industry accepted monitoring: Greater than or equal to 5% in one month, Greater than or equal to 7.5% in 90 days, Greater than or equal to 10% in 180 days, Greater than or equal to 20% in a year, and Greater than 2-pound weight change in one week for Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients. Note: Diagnosis of congestive heart failure (CHF) will be determined by using a Reminder Taxonomy to see if any of the available codes for any type of CHF have been selected either for a problem or associated as a diagnosis on an encounter, for the patient. In addition to modifying the percentages, this enhancement will also include the ability to send an alert to dieticians and/or the patient's care team when a weight change meets the criteria. Resolution: ---------- Vitals Lite now checks the date passed from the CPRS Encounters form, verifying the date is not a future date, nor earlier than one year ago. 2. INC8983394 - Vitals Standalone and Vitals - Graph Report needs to have a space between columns for Location and Entered By Problem: -------- When a location has a name longer than 20 characters, the Vitals Graph Report's spacing is affected. The long location name pushes into the "Entered By" column, making it hard to read. Resolution: ----------- The report's "Location" column is now padded to be either 20 spaces (the default) or the longest location name + two spaces, whichever is greater. 3. INC17035033 - GMRV*5*44 Supplemental Oxygen Flow Rate questions - Up/down arrows function oddly Problem: -------- When entering the "Flow Rate" qualifier for the "Pulse Oximetry" vital, the up/down arrows and keys don't function as expected. Resolution: ----------- The range of values supported by the up/down arrows and keys was expanded. 4. VITALS-165 - Conformance to 508 requirements The Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology requires that applications comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. This patch adds 508 compliance to the Vitals Suite using the VA's Accessibility Framework, which communicates with screen reader applications.
