Entries in the following files of the Health Summary package that reference the Spinal Cord Dysfunction application will be removed from VistA: Health Summary Type (file 142) Health Summary Component (file 142.1) New Service Requests (NSRs): ---------------------------- N/A Patient Safety Issues (PSIs): ----------------------------- N/A Defect Tracking System Ticket(s) & Overview: -------------------------------------------- RTC Task 868596 - Spine Cord Decommissioning: Health Summary Problem: -------- The Office of Spinal Cord Injury/Disorder (SCI/D) is requesting to decommission VistA Spinal Cord Dysfunction (SCD) application and data. The VistA SCD application and stored data will be removed from VA's inventory of applications. Therefore, any reference to SCD must be removed from the Health Summary package. Resolution: ----------- This patch will execute the post install routine GMTSP126 which will remove all Health Summary references of the SCD Application in VistA. The post install routine GMTSP126 will delete the following Spinal Cord Dysfunction data from the Health Summary package: 1) All entries in file Health Summary Type (file 142) where Name equals "SPINAL CORD DYSFUNCTION" and the associated cross reference entries. 2) All entries in file Health Summary Component (file 142.1) where Name equals "SPINAL CORD DYSFUNCTION" and the associated cross reference entries. Test Sites: ---------- Indianapolis Pittsburg Software and Documentation Retrieval Instructions: ---------------------------------------------------- N/A Patch Installation: Pre/Post Installation Overview: ------------------------------- The post install routine GMTSP126 will run after the patch is installed. This routine will be automatically removed after execution. Pre-Installation Instructions: ------------------------------ This patch may be installed with users on the system although it is recommended that it be installed during non-peak hours to minimize potential disruption to users. Make a Back-up prior to installing this patch or ensure nightly backups are performed by your site in the event this patch may need to be backed out. This patch should take less than 2 minutes to install. Installation Instructions: -------------------------- 1. Choose the PackMan message containing this patch. 2. Choose the INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE PackMan option. 3. From the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu, select the Installation Menu. From this menu, you may elect to use the following options. When prompted for the INSTALL NAME enter the patch GMTS*2.7*126: a. Backup a Transport Global - This option will create a backup message of any routines exported with this patch. It will not backup any other changes such as DDs or templates. b. Compare Transport Global to Current System - This option will (allow you to view all changes that will be made when this patch is installed. It compares all components of this patch routines, DDs, templates, etc.). c. Verify Checksums in Transport Global - This option will allow you to ensure the integrity of the routines that are in the transport global. 4. From the Installation Menu, select the Install Package(s) option and choose the patch GMTS*2.7*126 to install. 5. When prompted 'Want KIDS to Rebuild Menu Trees Upon Completion of Install? NO// NO' 6. When prompted 'Want KIDS to INHIBIT LOGONs during the install? NO// NO' 7. When prompted 'Want to DISABLE Scheduled Options, Menu Options, and Protocols? NO// NO' 8.
