============================================================================= Run Date: AUG 19, 2020 Designation: HDS*1*33 Package : HDS - HEALTH DATA REPOSITORY Priority: Mandatory Version : 1 SEQ #30 Status: Released Compliance Date: SEP 19, 2020 ============================================================================= Subject: Emergency change for excessive error logging Category: - Informational Description: ============ Issue: Calls to Caché Generalized Stored Procedure (GSP) were causing excessive errors after installation of 3.29.1 installation which included a new JDBC driver. This is causing error logs to fill on production sites. Analysis: Examination of the data being returned by the call indicated non-error related data was populating the Error columns of the result sets. This appeared to be a result of the delivery and parsing of the data being handled differently by the java code with the new JDBC driver. Solution: The Caché Generalized Stored Procedure was modified to initialize the Error column with a null value which stopped the column from being loaded with erroneous data. As a result, the call no longer produces false errors which eliminated the excessive error logging. Once coded the fix was verified on both Caché 2017 and IRIS 2020 platforms. The updated stored procedure will be as pushed to all production servers using the HDR In-place DAT Updater (HIDU) process on Aug 6, 2020.
