This patch does not alter or modify any VistA Blood Bank software design safeguards or safety critical elements functions. RISK ANALYSIS: Changes made by patch HL*1.6*173 have no adverse effect on Blood Bank software functionality, therefore RISK is none. New Service Requests (NSRs): ---------------------------- N/A Patient Safety Issues (PSIs): ----------------------------- N/A Defect Tracking System Ticket(s) & Overview: -------------------------------------------- INC13622699 - HLEV Monitor Requeue Times INC14968563(d) - ztshare is at a critical level of space. Problem: -------- The software checks the last time a monitor was run based off the largest Internal Entry Number (IEN) for the specified monitor in the HL7 MONITOR JOB (#776) file. However, when these entries are routinely purged and the IENs are recycled, the last IEN may not be the last entry created. This will cause the wrong last run date to be used, and will cause the monitor to run more than the REQUEUE MIN-MONITOR (#4) field in the HL7 MONITOR (#776.1) file allows. Resolution: ----------- Routine HLEVAPI3 was modified to loop through the START TIME (#.01) "B" cross-reference of the HL7 MONITOR JOB (#776) file in reverse order to ensure we are checking the most recent records. The routine will then check the value of the MONITOR-PTR (#3) field, to ensure the last monitor run is used when comparing to the REQUEUE MIN-MONITOR (#4) field in the HL7 MONITOR (#776.1) file. Also, routine HLEVMST was modified to ensure that only a single Master Job Monitor can be scheduled, and routine HLEVUTIL was modified to ensure monitors are not purged prior to the PURGE HOURS (#4) defined in the HL7 MONITOR PARAMETERS (#776.999) file.
