ASSOCIATED REMEDY TICKETS: ========================== 1. HD0000000376723 - Add URGENT CARE as Place of Service ASSOCIATED NSRs: ================ N/A PARTICIPATING TEST SITES: ========================= SPOKANE, WA TAMPA, FL REMEDY OVERVIEW: ================ 1. HD0000000376723 - Add URGENT CARE as Place of Service Problem: -------- In the PLACE OF SERVICE (#353.1) file there is no entry for URGENT CARE. There should be an entry for Urgent Care (code 20) so a CMS-1500 form can be generated in order to properly authorize claims when they contain Revenue Code 456 (Urgent Care). It was determined there are a total of 16 codes that need to be added to the PLACE OF SERVICE (#353.1) file to bring the Integrated Billing program into compliance with the Place of Service list published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Solution: --------- Post-install routine IBYP430 has been written to add the required 16 codes to the PLACE OF SERVICE (#353.1) file. The following 16 Place of Service codes, names, and abbreviations are being added: CODE NAME ABBREVIATION --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01 PHARMACY PHARMACY 03 SCHOOL SCHOOL 04 HOMELESS SHELTER HOMELESS SHELTER 05 IHS FREE STANDING FACILITY IHS FREE-STANDING 06 IHS PROVIDER BASED FACILITY IHS PROVIDER-BASED 07 TRIBAL 638 FREE STANDING FACILITY TRIBAL 638 FREE-STDG 08 TRIBAL 638 PROVIDER BASED FACILITY TRIBAL 638 PROV-BSD 09 PRISON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY PRISON/CORRECT FAC 13 ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY ASSTD LIVING FAC 14 GROUP HOME GROUP HOME 15 MOBILE UNIT MOBILE UNIT 16 TEMPORARY LODGING TEMP LODGING 17 RETAIL WALK-IN RETAIL/WALK IN 20 URGENT CARE FACILITY URGENT CARE 49 INDEPENDENT CLINIC INDEPENDENT CLINIC 57 NON RESIDENTIAL SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT NON-RES SUBST ABUSE FACILITY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: ========================== This patch may be run with users on the system.
