Clinical Information header overlapping the special conditions in the expanded claims tracking entry screen in the Claims Tracking Edit [IBT EDIT BI TRACKING ENTRY] option. 2. Request to add the bundled procedures 0295T, 0296T, 0297T and 0298T to the procedures split structure. 3. Inappropriate First Party (patient) charges are being generated for patients being treated in Hospice. A post-init routine will update the MCCR Utility file (#399.1) and Specialty file (#42.4) to prevent unwanted First Party charge generation for Hospice stays. I7659123FY16 bug found in the expanded claims Tracking Entry Screen Problem -------- When a site user uses at least 3 special conditions for the veterans, the expanded claims tracking entry screen displays the clinical information header as well as the third special condition on the right of the header. Resolution: ----------- Routine IBTRED0 was modified to adjust the display line for the clinical information header to avoid the overlap on the special conditions. 2. I9700749FY16 Global codes needs to be set to be auto cross walked Problem: -------- The Chief Business Office has requested a set of bundled procedures added to the procedures split list with the existing methodology. The updated complete list of procedures split: Global Technical Professional ------ --------- ------------ 93000 93005 93010 93015 93017 93016 & 93018 93040 93041 93042 93224 93225 & 93226 93227 93230 93231 & 93232 93233 93235 93236 93237 93268 93270 & 93271 93272 93720 93721 93722 93784 93786 & 93788 93790 94014 94015 94016 0295T 0296T & 0297T 0298T <------ new At Provider Based sites, the global procedure 0295T should not be billed. The technical component 0296T & 0297T should be billed on the UB form, and the professional component 0298T should be billed on the HCFA 1500. At Non-Provider Based (Freestanding) sites, if both the technical and the professional components 0296T & 0297T & 0298T are performed, then the global procedure 0295T should be billed. *** Please Note *** For bills not already coded with 0295T, the above update to procedure codes does not apply. Resolution: ----------- Routine IBCU7A1 was modified to add these bundled procedures: 0295T as the global procedure, 0296T & 0297T as a technical component and 0298T as a professional component to the procedures split list. The procedures split structure will reflect the charge and the split will be done automatically: - on an institutional bill if the global procedure 0295T is found in encounter data, then on the bill the global 0295T is replaced with the component 0296T & 0297T. - on a professional bill if the global procedure 0295T is found in encounter data, then on the bill the technical component 0296T & 0297T is replaced with the professional component. - at Non-Provider Based (Freestanding) sites if the global procedure 0295T is found in encounter data and both components 0296T & 0297T & 0298T are performed, then on the bill both components are replaced with the global procedure. 3. I8996330FY16 Adding two new billing codes for Hospice Patients Problem: ------- Patients who should not be charged for Hospice stays, were in fact being billed. First party charges are being cancelled manually by CPAC personnel. Resolution: ---------- Adding two new entries, 'NH HOSPICE' and 'HOSPICE FOR ACUTE CARE', to the MCCR Utility file (#399.1) and ensuring the IB ACTION TYPE (COPAYMENT) (#.14) and IB ACTION TYPE (PER DIEM) (#.15) fields in the MCCR Utility file (#399.1) are left blank. Copays and per diem charges will not generate if these fields are blank. The next step is to reset the BILLING RATE BEDSECTION (#5) field of the two Hospice specialties to the respective new BILLING RATE BEDSECTION / MCCR Utility file (#399.1) entries added by this patch. Pointing to an entry with a blank IB ACTION TYPE (COPAYMENT) (#.14) and IB ACTION TYPE (PER DIEM) (#.15) prevents First Party (patient) charge billing.
