It is MANDATORY that this patch is * * installed between the hours of 7:00pm and 2:00am local time as * * the updates impact how the system processes incoming eInsurance * * transactions. * * * * After the install is complete (in the morning), DO NOT FORGET to * * reschedule the following in TaskMan: * * * * eInsurance Night Process [IBCN EINSURANCE NIGHT PROCESS] * * * * CRITICAL: Manila OC, PI (Station #358) DO NOT schedule this option * * in TaskMan !!! * * * * We realize that this means sites will end up skipping a day where * * this task runs. * ************************************************************************* The purpose of this patch is to meet the requirements of the Medical Care Collection Fund (MCCF) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Transaction Application Suite (TAS) Phase 2 project. 1. VistA was modified so that the eIV Appointment extract will create one 270 eligibility inquiry per patient per Blue Cross payer. 2. Enhanced the eIV response processing logic to do additional record locking checks and record locking associated with the INSURANCE VERIFICATION PROCESSOR file (#355.33). 3. The following reports were modified so that users have more control when selecting to search by RANGE. A. Insurance Payment Trend Report [IB OUTPUT TREND REPORT] B. Generate Insurance Company Listings [IBCN ID DUP INSURANCE ENTRIES] C. Verification of No Coverage Report [IBCN NO COVERAGE VERIFIED] D. Active Policies with no Effective Date Report [IBCN POL W/NO EFF DATE REPORT] E. Patients with or without Insurance Report [IBCN PT W/WO INSURANCE REPORT] 4. IB*2.0*727 moved workarounds previously performed by Financial Services Center (FSC) pre-processor to VistA post-processer. One of the documented workarounds for Medicare Part-B was to switch the qualifier for the claim-level supervising provider from (EI - Tax ID) to (G2 - Commercial), if present. This caused a reject by the Medicare processor because they are not accepting a G2 for the claim-level supervising. This patch corrects the issue by removing the EI and its corresponding ID.
