The following VistA options were modified to display the TYPE OF PLAN (#355.1) ABBREVIATION (#.02) if the NAME (#.01) (Type of Plan) exceeds 15 characters: a. "Patient Insurance Info View/Edit" [IBCN PATIENT INSURANCE] b. "View Patient Insurance" [IBCN VIEW PATIENT INSURANCE] c. "Third Party Joint Inquiry" [IBJ THIRD PARTY JOINT INQUIRY] d. "Claims Tracking Edit" [IBT EDIT TRACKING ENTRY] e. "Claims Tracking Edit" [IBT EDIT IR TRACKING ENTRY] f. "Claims Tracking Edit" [IBT EDIT HR TRACKING ENTRY] g. "Claims Tracking Edit" [IBT EDIT BI TRACKING ENTRY] 2. VistA was modified to display the TYPE OF PLAN (#355.1) NAME (#.01) for values: VISION, EXCLUSIVE PROVIDER ORGANIZATION, and MEDICARE ADVANTAGE instead of the ABBREVIATION (#.02) in the following locations: a. "Patient Insurance Info View/Edit" [IBCN PATIENT INSURANCE] > Policy Edit/View (VP) b. "View Patient Insurance" [IBCN VIEW PATIENT INSURANCE] > View Policy Info (VP) c. "Insurance Company Entry/Edit" [IBCN INSURANCE CO EDIT] > View Plans (VP) > View/Edit Plan (VP) 3. In the TYPE OF PLAN (#355.1) file, the NAME(#.01) for the "HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZ" entry was changed to "HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION". 4. A new report "EDI Payer ID Report" [IBCN EDI PAYER ID REPT] was added to the "Insurance Reports" [IBCN INS RPTS] menu. This report allows the user to identify insurance companies with a specific Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Payer ID (Professional, Institutional, Dental, or all). 5. A new report "List Duplicate Group Plans by Insurance Company" [IBCN DUP GRP PLAN BY INS RPT] was added to the "Insurance Reports" [IBCN INS RPTS] menu. This report allows the user to identify potential duplicate groups based on group numbers. It also allows a user to search for all insurance companies that have a specific group number. 6. The eIV Appointment extract was rewritten (^IBCNEDE2) to be more efficient and inclusive in the creation of X12 270 insurance inquiry requests. The code was modified to ensure all Blue Cross/Blue Shield (BCBS) policies are included in the extract. The extract no longer excludes certain clinics and the patient's primary eligibility when looking at future appointments. The code also modified the types of plans (group related) and types of coverages (insurance company related) that will be evaluated with the eIV Appointment extract. 7. The following existing data dictionary fields were modified to reduce their lower allowable limit to one. a. SELECTION CRITERIA #1 (#350.9002, .03) b.
