Patch IVM*2.0*219 is also being released in support of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Enrollment System (VES) Contact Broker Microservice release. Patch IVM*2.0*219 is being released with DG*5.3*1143 and PSO*7.0*819 in Host File DG_53_P1143.KID. Patch IVM*2.0*219 adds a check whenever patient contact information is updated. This check will evaluate the ENABLE REALTIME ADDRESS UPDATE field (#1403) of the MAS PARAMETERS file (#43). If this is set to YES, this indicates that patient contact information updates are being sent in real-time to VES and should not be sent via Health Level 7 (HL7) processing. Patch IVM*2.0*219 modifies the ORU/ORF Z05 message processing logic to concatenate the phone number and extension for all phone types (Office, Residential, Temporary, Confidential, and Cell) and stores the concatenated value in the corresponding phone number field in the Patient file (#2). EHRM Impact Statement: ---------------------- This patch should have no EHRM impact, and can be installed at all sites, including EHRM converted sites. If this field is set to "YES", the patient record is not placed on the queue. (Contact information updates are being communicated to VES via a web service.)
