Screening problem in the Hospital Location file (#44). 2. There is a problem when a Lab Collect is placed on a collection list. ASSOCIATED REMEDY TICKET: ======================== 1. INC000000069030 - No screen being done on file 44. 2. INC000000536496 - Lab accessioning date error. ASSOCIATED NSR(S): ================== N/A TEST SITES: =========== James J. Peters VA Medical Center - Bronx Salisbury - W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center Southern Arizona VA Health Care System REMEDY TICKET OVERVIEW: ======================= 1. INC000000069030 - No screen being done on file 44. Problem ------------ Hospital locations of "F" (File Area) and "I" (Imaging) should not be selectable as a patient location in the laboratory order entry. These locations are already screened out in CPRS. Solution ------------ Modify the FileMan call to the Hospital Location file (#44) in routine LRWU to screen out Hospital Locations of type "F" (File Area) and "I" (Imaging). Routine: LRWU 2. INC000000536496 - Lab accessioning date error. Problem ------------ When a LC (Lab Collect) order is placed on a collection list, the order is accessioned and data is entered in the Accession file (#68) and in the Lab Order Entry file (#69) to reflect the accessioning process. On occasion, the patient is not available at collection time so the specimen is not collected. At a later date/time laboratory staff can use option LROE to accession the order again. This leads to conflicting/confusing dates/times in the Accession file (#68) and in the Lab Order Entry file (#69). Solution ------------ Modify routine LROE to not allow accessioning to occur again if the Accession file (#68) and the Lab Order Entry file (#69) indicate that accessioning has already occurred.
