Rational Defect 354112 Larger Studies Problem: Larger study is taking a long time to load the images Resolution: Image caching improvements made in this patch. Test results show acceptable load times. 2. Rational Defect 437547 Pan Function Problem: Pan functionality exhibited extensive lag and inadequate image adjustment with each user action. Resolution: Image caching improvements made in this patch. Test results show improved response when using pan functionality. 3. Rational Defect 437552 Hard to view PDF documents Problem: The zoom button is difficult to use. The experience improves with 'Fit to Window' option, but no scrolling is available to access the entire image area. Resolution: Scroll bar is added to improve viewing of .pdf documents 4. Rational Defect 464629 FPS notation Problem: Users see no reason for the FPS notation to exist when the study has no purpose for Cine. Resolution: Issue with FPS notation is fixed and the FPS notation no longer appears on studies where it has no purpose. 5. Rational Defect 464632 Progress Bar Problem: Progress bar is not close to accurate during the image loading process. The progress bar always ends partially done. Resolution: Defect open as a misinterpretation of the meaning of the user interface item which was deemed confusing and therefore removed. No impact to user functionality. 6. Rational Defect 464651 Window/Level Problem: The Window/Level function jerky at times. Resolution: Window/Level function improved. Testing confirmed acceptable performance. This patch may be installed with users on the system although it is recommended that it be installed during non-peak hours to minimize potential disruption to users. There are no Menu Options to disable. Installation Instructions: This patch contains a VIX portion and a KIDS portion. Installation instructions for the VIX portion of this patch can be found in the VIX Installation Guide. The KIDS portion of this patch is to be installed on the VistA System and the VIX portion should be installed on the VIX servers. This patch must be installed by the compliance date to conform with VHA Directive 2001-023. NOTE: All sites running VistA Imaging 3.0 must install both the KIDS portion as well as the VIX portion of this patch. This patch may be loaded while VistA Imaging System is active. All sites must install the KIDS portion of this patch. The MAG*3.0*177 KIDS can be loaded while VistA Imaging System is active. Installing the KIDS will take less than one minute. After the KIDS portion of this patch is installed, all sites will need to update their VIX. For detailed information, refer to the VIX Installation Guide. Installation Prerequisites Before installing this patch, you will need to download the MAG*3.0*177 files from the Imaging SFTP site to a local storage location. Verify that required patches and any optional patches that support desired or needed features have been installed. For a summary of associated patches, see page 1. KIDS Installation ----------------- All sites must install the KIDS portion of this patch. Installing the KIDS Package: --------------------------- 1. Access the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu [XPD MAIN]. 2. Run the Installation option [XPD INSTALLATION MENU]. 3. Load the KIDS file by performing the following steps. a. Run the Load a Distribution option [XPD LOAD DISTRIBUTION] to load the KIDS distribution. b. When prompted, enter the path and file name (MAG3_0P177.KID) of the MAG*3.0*177 KIDS file that you downloaded from the Imaging FTP server. c. When prompted to continue with the load, enter YES. A Distribution OK! message will be displayed when the load is complete. 4. After loading the KIDS file, use the following options if you need to verify the contents of the patch and to back up any affected routines. Verify Checksums in Transport Global [XPD PRINT CHECKSUM] - run this option to ensure the integrity of the routines in the patch. Compare Transport Global to Current System [XPD COMPARE TO SYSTEM] - run this option to view all changes that will be made when the patch is installed. All components ( routines, options, and so on) in the patch will be compared. Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] - run this option to create a backup message of any routines exported with the patch. It will NOT back up any of the other changes. 5. After performing the load and any optional verifica tion steps, perform the following steps to install the KIDS file: a. Run the Install Package(s) option [XPD INSTALL BUILD]. b. When prompted for the install name, enter MAG*3.0*177. c. Answer NO to the following prompts: i. Want KIDS to INHIBIT LOGONs during the install? No//NO ii. Want to DISABLE Scheduled Options, Menu Options, and Protocols? //NO 6. When installation has finished, an Install Complete message will be displayed.
