It provides an enhancement to the Image Ingest Web Services that were introduced in the VistA Imaging patch MAG*3.0*230. This patch addresses the following new capabilities: 1. MAG*3.0*284 allows additional image file types to be ingested as requested by the Office of Connected Care (OCC) mobile applications team. The additional image file types being added for the Ingest Services are: - GIF - JPEG - JPG - PNG - BMP - MP4 - MOV These additional image file types will be utilized by some of the mobile applications currently under development for OCC. 2. Added new properties to allow for the passing of the Capture User and Note Author values. 3. MAG*3.0*254 had two problems retrieving some DoD data from DoD's Enterprise Clinical Imaging Archive (ECIA). Resolution: MAG*3.0*254 CVIX Hotfix 01 was made to fix the reading of the HTTPS URL for the Acuo host to allow retrieval from ECIA for DoD Images, reports, and metadata and to fix the potential for timeouts while awaiting a connection and a response. This hotfix applies to the Centralized VIX (CVIX) servers and was merged into MAG*3.0*284. Patch Installation: ------------------- Pre-Installation Instructions: ------------------------------ This patch may be installed with users on the system although it is recommended that it be installed during non-peak hours to minimize potential disruption to users. This patch should take less than 5 minutes to install. Installation Instructions: 1. From the Kernel Installation and Distribution System [XPD MENU] menu, select the Installation Menu [XPD INSTALLATION MENU]. From this menu, you may elect to use the following options. When prompted for the INSTALL enter the patch . a. Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] - This option will create a backup message of any routines exported with this patch. It will not backup any other changes such as DD's or templates. b. Compare Transport Global to Current System [XPD COMPARE TO SYSTEM] - This option will allow you to view all changes that will be made when this patch is installed. It compares all components of this patch (routines, DD's, templates, etc.). c. Verify Checksums in Transport Global [XPD PRINT CHECKSUM] - This option will allow you to ensure the integrity of the routines that are in the backup any other changes such as DD's or templates. 2. From the Installation Menu [XPD INSTALLATION MENU] select Load a Distribution [XPD LOAD DISTRIBUTION]. Enter the Host file location, then 4. When prompted 'Want KIDS to INHIBIT LOGONs during the install? NO//', respond NO. 5. When prompted 'Want to DISABLE Scheduled Options, Menu Options, and Protocols? NO//', respond NO. 6. When prompted 'Want KIDS to Rebuild Menu Trees Upon Completion of Install? NO//' respond No. Installation Verification ========================= Successful installation can be verified by reviewing the first 2 lines of the routines contained in the patch. The second line will contain the patch number in the [PATCH LIST] section. The option Calculate and Show Checksum Values [XTSUMBLD-CHECK] can be run to compare the routine checksums to what is documented in the patch description. Back-out Procedures =================== Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of the development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between the development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. Routine MAGIP254 is an installation routine that is automatically deleted after the KIDS installation. Rollback, Back Out or Uninstalling MAG*3.0*284 ============================================== If it is necessary to uninstall the MAG*3.0*284 VIX service, use the Uninstall option from Windows Control Panel to uninstall: "VIX Service Installation Wizard 30.284.3.7819". Then install the previous version of VIX which was included in MAG*3.0*254. To back out the VIX and replace it with prior version, please see the MAG*3.0*284 VIX Installation Guide for more detail.
