This document describes Patch 18, the VistARad Enhancements patch. Major changes in Patch 18 include: - New hanging protocols that automatically organize images and set image display properties for a exam as it is opened into the Viewer. - Automatic display of priors based on the active hanging protocol and the CPT code or modality type of the current exam. - An integrated Viewer window that combines layout and stack functionality and that incorporates numerous usability enhancements. - A reworked Manager window that combines all functions into a single window that is easier to use and requires less screen real-estate. - A new Readlist function that eliminates or greatly reduces wait times for image display. - Integration with TalkStation and PowerScribe voice dictation software. - A new Exam History list. - Key image designation in locked exams; key image retrieval into the new Scrapbook. - The capacity to automatically save annotations added to a locked exam, and to retrieve the annotations in future display sessions. - User preferences that are available regardless of login location. - A site-configurable timeout period for inactive workstations. FDA regulations require that each Imaging software distribution is documented and tracked by the VistA Imaging project. To receive this patch, sites must have a Site Agreement filed with and approved by the VistA Imaging Group.
