This patch also includes modifications to the Imaging Import API interface to support VIC Photo ID Card application, enhancements to Imaging Indices generation for document scanning, correction image filename extensions for TWAIN captures, and implementation of the security key requirement for VistA Imaging Display client. Installation Instructions: ========================== NOTE: After installing the KIDS package, determine if version checking for Clinical Display and Capture is to be enabled or disabled (it is enabled by the Install process). For more information, see "Version Checking for Display and Capture" on page 20 of the Patch Description. NOTE: The Post Install of Patch 59 automatically queues the new Imaging Index FIX utility. For more information, see on page 25 of the Patch Description. This patch should be installed during non-peak hours to minimize disruption. Users may be on the system during installation. Installation will take longer than normal due to the Index Fix Utility that is started during the install. The Fix Utility takes approximately 10 minutes for each 1 Million Images. This patch must be installed by the compliance date to conform with VHA Directive 2001-023. Installing the KIDS Package 1. Access the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu [XPD MAIN]. 2. Run the Installation option. 3. Load the KIDS file by performing the following steps. a. Run the Load a Distribution [XPD LOAD DISTRIBUTION] option to load the KIDS distribution. b. When prompted, enter the path and file name (MAG3_0P59.KID) of the Patch 59 KIDS file that you downloaded from the Imaging FTP server. c. When prompted to continue with the load, enter YES. A Distribution OK! message will be displayed when the load is complete. 4. After loading the KIDS file, use the following options to verify the contents of the patch and to back up any affected routines. a. Verify Checksums in Transport Global [XPD PRINT CHECKSUM] - run this option if you want to ensure the integrity of the routines in the patch. b. Compare Transport Global to Current System [XPD COMPARE TO SYSTEM] - run this option if you want to view all changes that will be made when the patch is installed. All components (routines, options, and so on) in the patch will be compared. c. Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] - run this option if you want to create a backup message of any routines exported with the patch. It will NOT back up any of the other changes. 5. After performing the load and any optional verification steps, install the KIDS file by performing the following steps: a. Run the Install Package(s) [XPD INSTALL BUILD] option. b. When prompted for the install name, enter MAG*3.0*59. c. Answer NO to the following prompts: Want KIDS to Rebuild Menu Trees Upon Completion of Install? Yes//NO Want KIDS to INHIBIT LOGONs during the install? No//NO Want to DISABLE Scheduled Options, Menu Options, and Protocols? YES//NO 6. When installation is finished, an Install Complete message will be displayed. 7. You and members of the Mail Group G.MAG SERVER will receive a mail message when the task FIX^MAGGTUX is complete. 8. Note: During the Install, a list of users that do not have either MAGDISP CLIN or MAGDISP ADMIN key will be displayed to the screen.
