This patch includes enhancements to the Clinical Capture, Clinical Display, and TeleReader applications. Patient Safety Issue PSI-08-031(PSPO #854) is resolved by this patch in Clinical Capture by including a warning panel which requires users to confirm a patient change while an image is being previewed. Patient Safety Issue PSPO #1671 is resolved by this patch in Clinical Display. The Default EKG Settings are fixed in Patch 94 and the EKG functionality will work the same as it did before Patch 93. Changes include: 1.Imaging System Message History window changes for Clinical Capture, Display and TeleReader 2.Disabling Microsoft Word *.doc and *.docx formats for Clinical Capture 3.Permitting Electronic Signature for group captures to new signed TIU notes 4.The display of a Warning Panel in Clinical Capture to require user confirmation of a patient change PSI-08-031(PSPO #854) 5.BSE (Broker Security Enhancement) support for TeleReader and Clinical Display 6.Software Version Checking will remain on and can no longer be disabled. 7.Discontinued checking of the MAG VIEW DOD IMAGES KEY for Patch 94 clients 8.Enhanced Client Version reporting to include a workstation name parameter and a filter to limit the result set to a number of days since last logon 9.Version Nag Message can be turned ON or OFF Details of these changes are listed in the Patch 94 Changes section of this document. Patch 94 Version Checking will only support client versions 94/93/72. All client versions that have been released prior to Patch 72 will not be supported. VistA System KIDS Summary Changes ================================== Patch 94 includes a KIDS package to be installed on the VistA System. These changes support the new VIX service (if one is implemented) and facilitate communication with remote VIX services at other VA sites. Data Dictionaries ================= IMAGE FILE TYPES (#2005.021), The following fields are NEW. FORMAT IS SUPPORTED (#021.06) New. Fields value of YES allows images of the file type to be captured. Field Value of NO means imaging does not support the file type and a message is shown and capture is cancelled. IMAGING SITE PARAMETERS (#2006.1), The following field is NEW. VERSION NAG MESSSAGE (#132) New. Field value of YES displays a message to users of supported clients that are not the released version. The message informs the user that they should update the client to the Released version. Value of NO will suppress the message, no message will display. IMAGING SITE PARAMETERS File (#2006.1), The following field is changed. VERSION CHECKING (#130) Change. This field is no longer being supported. The value of this field does not control which Imaging Clients are supported. Security Keys ============= The Patch 94 Clinical Display client no longer checks the MAG VIEW DOD IMAGES security key to determine if a user can view DoD Images. The key is still being used in Patch 93 and earlier versions of Clinical Display. Remote Procedures ================= There are no new or modified remote procedures included in this patch. Menu Options ============ The Imaging System Manager Menu [MAG CLIENT VERSION REPORT] is a menu option contained in the Imaging System Manager Menu [MAG SYS MENU] sub menu. It is a report designed to print all workstations that need to be updated before they will be allowed to connect to VistA. It has been modified to make the output more useful to the user. Changes include: * Limiting the search to a number of days prior to today that a workstation was used to log into VistA. * Searching for only Workstation names that contain certain text. * Include all workstations in the report. Note: If this option is selected, then workstations that do not need updated will have an '*' displayed next to their name. Templates ========= There are no new or modified templates included in this patch. Installation ============ This patch is to be installed on the VistA System and on the clinical workstations. This patch may be loaded while VistA Imaging System is active. The KIDS installation will take approximately one minute. The MAGIPS94 routine will be automatically deleted after the installation is completed. When Patch 94 is installed Version Checking will be turned on. The option to turn off Version Checking is disabled. Installation Prerequisites ========================== Before installing this patch, you will need to download the Patch 94 files from the Imaging FTP site to a local storage location. Verify that the patches listed in the Associated Patches section have been installed. VistA System (KIDS) Installation ================================ Installing the KIDS Package 1 Access the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu [XPD MAIN]. 2 Run the Installation option [XPD INSTALLATION MENU]. 3 Load the KIDS file by performing the following steps. a Run the Load a Distribution option [XPD LOAD DISTRIBUTION] to load the KIDS distribution. b When prompted, enter the path and file name (MAG3_0P94.KID) of the Patch 94 KIDS file that you downloaded from the Imaging FTP server. c When prompted to continue with the load, enter YES. A Distribution OK! message will be displayed when the load is complete. 4 After loading the KIDS file, use the following options to verify the contents of the patch and to back up any affected routines. Verify Checksums in Transport Global [XPD PRINT CHECKSUM] run this option if you want to ensure the integrity of the routines in the patch. Compare Transport Global to Current System [XPD COMPARE TO SYSTEM] run this option if you want to view all changes that will be made when the patch is installed. All components (routines, options, and so on) in the patch will be compared. Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] run this option if you want to create a backup message of any routines exported with the patch. It will NOT back up any of the other changes. 5 After performing the load and any optional verification steps, perform the following steps to install the KIDS file: a Run the Install Package(s) option [XPD INSTALL BUILD]. b When prompted for the install name, enter MAG*3.0*94. c Answer NO to the following prompts: Want KIDS to INHIBIT LOGONs during the install? No//NO Want to DISABLE Scheduled Options, Menu Options, and Protocols? YES//NO When installation has finished, an Install Complete message will be displayed.
