The TeleReader application included in VistA Imaging Patch 46 (MAG*3.0*46) was configured using VA FileMan at each VistA Implementation. Patch 114 provides a GUI based interface to configure the TeleReader. The application gives the user some extra direction, help and data validation before making changes to records within the VistA database. The TeleReader Configurator is a Microsoft Windows based GUI application. There will be no additional business rules with the addition of this new interface. This patch includes a KIDS package update. Active means images can be read. Inactive means images cannot be read. -LOCK TIMEOUT IN MINUTES (#3) NUMBER - The number of minutes a study can be locked by a user. After this period of time, a study that is still locked isautomatically unlocked. If this field is undefined, the application will default to 180 minutes. Max value is 99999, no decimals allowed. Configuring an Acquisition Site Configuring a Reading Site Configuring TeleReader Global Settings Installation: ============= This patch is to be installed on the VistA System and on a site administrator workstation. The TeleReader Configurator is not meant to be installed on clinical workstations. This patch may be loaded while VistA Imaging System is active. Installation will take less than one minute. NOTE The application will prompt the user with the database configuration screen only once. Upon successful login the entered values are stored in MagTeleReaderConfig.ini, located in the same folder as the .exe. From that point on the application will automatically connect to the server and port listed in the MagTeleReaderConfig.ini. To connect to a different VistA database, open the file (default is Microsoft Notepad). There will be a Login Options section as listed below: [Login Options] Local VistA=localhost Local VistA port=9300 Edit the Local VistA = entry with the desired server. Edit the Local VistA port = entry with the server port. Save the changes. When the application runs, it will connect to the server and port entered in MagTeleReaderConfig.ini. Installation Prerequisites: =========================== Before installing this patch, you will need to download the Patch 114 files from the Imaging FTP site to a local storage location. Verify that the patches listed in the Associated Patches section have been installed. VistA System (KIDS) Installation: ================================= Installing the KIDS Package 1. Access the Kernel Installation and Distribution System Menu [XPD MAIN]. 2. Run the Installation option [XPD INSTALLATION MENU]. 3. Load the KIDS file by performing the following steps. a) Run the Load a Distribution option [XPD LOAD DISTRIBUTION] to load the KIDS distribution. b) When prompted, enter the path and file name (MAG3_0P114.KID) of the Patch 114 KIDS file that you downloaded from the Imaging FTP server. c) When prompted to continue with the load, enter YES. A Distribution OK! message will be displayed when the load is complete. 4. After loading the KIDS file, use the following options to verify the contents of the patch and to back up any affected routines. -Verify Checksums in Transport Global [XPD PRINT CHECKSUM] run this option if you want to ensure the integrity of the routines in the patch. -Compare Transport Global to Current System [XPD COMPARE TO SYSTEM] run this option if you want to view all changes that will be made when the patch is installed. All components (routines, options, and so on) in the patch will be compared. -Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] run this option if you want to create a backup message of any routines exported with the patch. It will NOT back up any of the other changes. 5. After performing the load and any optional verification steps, install the KIDS file by performing the following steps: a) Run the Install Package(s) [XPD INSTALL BUILD] option. b) When prompted for the install name, enter MAG*3.0*114. c) Answer NO to the following prompts: Want KIDS to Rebuild Menu Trees Upon Completion of Install? It can be installed on any support staff workstation. 1. Copy MAG3_0P114_MagInstall.exe (distributed with Patch 114) to a local location. 2. Double-click the file to start the InstallShield Wizard. 3. After the Welcome dialog is displayed, click Next, then click Install. (There are no configurable installation options.) Installation typically takes less than 30 seconds. 4. When installation is finished, click Finish. 5. The Installation will place MAGTeleReaderConfig.exe (the application) and MagTeleReaderConfig.pdf (the application help file) under Program Files/Vista/Imaging. There will be a shortcut VistA Imaging TeleReader Config placed on the desktop. Double click the shortcut.There will be a prompt for the server and port. Enter the appropriate values for the sites local VistA RPC broker connection. Then enter Access and Verify codes when prompted and select the login.
