User Acceptance Test is by the direction of the eHealth Exchange Business Owner and no MOUs are required. ********************************************************************** eHealth Exchange (formerly VLER and formerly NHIN) Adapter Release 6.3.0.12 contains code changes (enhancements) to the eHealth Exchange Adapter module. These changes are Work Items that were recorded and tracked in the eHealth Exchange area of RTC. This release contains the Work Items completed during production deployment. This eHealth Exchange enhancement release will provide enhancements to the existing VA-generated Consolidated-Clinical Data Architecture (C-CDA) deployed in Increment 2 (v6.1.0.14). Listed below are the enhancements: C-CDA Stylesheet; C-CDA Readability Improvements: This feature will provide better readability of the narrative sections in a VA C-CDA CCD document. Error Message Enhancements: Error messages have been change to visually distinguish why eHealth Exchange data is not available by providing meaningful prompts and error messages. VA C-CDA Embedded Notes: Provide human-readable and clinically relevant patient information to users from clinical notes (unstructured information and text) from the Encounter, Procedure, and Result sections of the CCD. Purpose of Use - Emergency: Update the Adapter to support the consumption and sending of Emergency Purpose of Use. Test sites - N/A The upgraded software will be deployed to a centralized system at AITC. System Features and Functionality tested in this release to Production included the following: - The ability to retrieve clinically relevant note content from the 25 most recent Outpatient Encounters Progress Notes from the last 36 months with a maximum of 10 Progress Notes per Encounter entry. - The ability to retrieve clinically relevant clinical note content from the 25 most recent surgical procedures within the last 12 months with a maximum of 10 Surgical Procedure notes per Procedure entry. - The ability to retrieve the clinically relevant note content from the 10 most recent Discharge Summaries within the last 36 months. - The ability to retrieve the clinically relevant note content from the 20 most recent History and Physical Notes in the last 24 months. - The ability to retrieve the clinically relevant note content from the 20 most recent Embedded notes of Pathology Reports in the Results section in the CCDA within the last 24 months. - The ability to retrieve and include the 20 most recent Consult Notes in the Encounters section of the CCDA within the last 24 months. - The ability for the system to provide a more informative error message to internal VA applications when the response to an outbound query for documents request from a queried partner does not return patient data. - The ability for the system to display the existing VA CCDA CCD functionality with readability enhancements. Release 6.3 testing was focused on the CCDA readability enhancements and the retrieval of notes within a specific date range for the Encounters, Surgical Procedures, Discharge Summaries, History and Physicals, Pathology and Consults sections of the CCDA. Increment 4 testing also includes the enhancements of error messages for outbound query for documents.
