This patch will update the Oncology RCRS (Rapid Cancer Reporting System) Extract Report to XML format. The 'Create RCRS Extract' [ONCO RCRS EXTRACT] report option will be updated to be in XML (eXtensible Mark-up Language) format. This change will retain compliance with the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR) 2021 Implementation Guidelines as specified by Commision on Cancer (CoC), National Program of Cancer Registries (NPCR) and Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER). 2. This patch will update the NAACCR and SEER Extract Reports to XML format. The 'Create ACOS Data Download' [ONCO #SITE-CREATE ACOS DISK] and 'Create State/VACCR (Veteran's Affairs Central Cancer Registry) Data Download' [ONCO #STATE-DATA DISK] report options will be updated to be in XML format. This change will retain compliance with the NAACCR 2021 Implementation Guidelines as specified by CoC, NPCR and SEER. 3. This patch will update the Extract Report options to include Cervix cases. The 'Create ACOS Data Download' [ONCO #SITE-CREATE ACOS DISK] and the 'Create State/VACCR Data Download' [ONCO #STATE DATA DISK] options will be updated to include Cervix cases. 4. This patch will include the Date Initial RX SEER (NAACCR item #1260) in Extracts. This patch will include the Date Initial RX SEER in the Oncology Extracts. It will be included as NAACCR item #1260 in the Oncology National Cancer Database (NCDB), State and SEER Extracts. 5. This patch will correct a typo in the 8077/2 Histology description. The patch will correct a typo in the name of the '8077/2' Histology in the ICD-O-3 Morphology (#169.3) file. The name was incorrectly "SQUAMOUS INTRAEPITHELIAL NEOPLASIA, GRADE II"; it will be corrected to "SQUAMOUS INTRAEPITHELIAL NEOPLASIA, GRADE III". 6. This patch will add the missing 750 value to Extent of Disease (EOD) Primary Tumor Code for Schema 00795. The patch will add the missing EOD Primary Tumor Code and Text for the Lymphoma-Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)/Small Lymphocytic Leukemia (SLL) cases, Schema 00795. The code 750 with text "Peripheral Blood Involvement ONLY" will be added to the ONCOLOGY EOD SCHEMAS (#165.9) file, for Schema 00795. 7. This patch add a new field called SCHEMA ID DESCRIPTION (#165.5, #3800.1) to the Oncology Abstract. The patch will add a new field that will display both the Schema ID and the Schema Name and description. This will help for searching and sorting purposes. The pre- install routine will delete the site-specific data item data files that will be brought back in with the patch installation. The post-install routine will run a data conversion. Routines ONC2PR14 and ONC2PS14 may optionally be deleted by the installer after the installation is complete. Installation instructions: -------------------------- This patch should be loaded with Oncology users off the system. Installation should take less than 5 minutes. Load the KIDS distribution file via the 'Load a Distribution' option on the KIDS Installation menu. 2. Prior to installing the patch you may want to make use of the following optional installation options located on the KIDS Installation menu: a. Verify Checksums in Transport Global - This option will allow you to ensure the integrity of the routines that are in the transport global. b. Compare Transport Global to Current System - This option will allow you to view all changes that will be made when this patch is installed. It compares all components of this patch (routines, DD's, templates, etc.). c. Backup a Transport Global - This option will create a backup message. You must use this option and specify what to backup; the entire Build or just Routines. The backup message can be used to restore the routines and components of the build to the pre-patch condition. i. At the Installation option menu, select Backup a Transport Global ii. At the Select INSTALL NAME prompt, enter build name ONC*2.2*14 iii. When prompted for the following, enter "R" for Routines or "B" for Build. Back out/Rollback Plan ---------------------- Backout of this patch will be performed only with the concurrence and participation of the appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back out the patch will be a joint decision between VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. Prior to installing the updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option. The message containing the backed up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The PackMan function INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE is then used to install the backed-up routines onto the VistA system. Note: In the event that a site decides to back out this patch, the site should contact the National Service Desk (NSD) to submit an IT Service Desk ticket. The development team will then assist with the backout process and restoration of the DD and Input Template. Validation of Backout Procedure of the Routines: ----------------------------------------------- The Backout procedure can be verified by printing the first two lines of the ONC routines contained in this patch using the option First Line Routine Print [XU FIRST LINE PRINT].
