This patch provides the National Provider Identifier (NPI) information in the provider selection lists in the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS). The NPI information must be present in the NEW PERSON file (#200) and the selection list must provide hover hint capability for this to function. The NPI information will be displayed appended to the user's name/title/service in the following form: [NPI: 1234567890] 2. In CPRS v32, additional updates will be made to the screening of the provider list shown in certain provider selection lists. The Non-VA providers currently being imported as part of the Community Care program will be excluded from certain options. In preparation for that, this patch provides a new 'CPRS TAB' which will be used to identify these Non-VA providers. The tab, labeled NVA will be exported to the OR CPRS TABS file (#101.13).
