I10093093FY16 - CPRS Outpatient medication issue Problem: -------- When an unsigned renewal Outpatient order is cancelled in CPRS, there is no record to show who and when it was cancelled. Not knowing who performed this action can results in rejected order requests that can go undetected and could interrupt medication therapy. This is particularly a concern for orders created by the automated renewal system like AudioCare. Resolution: ----------- After researching the issue, it was determined that the same issue occurred for other order types. Essentially, the ORDER file (#100) should capture the details who initiated the cancellation as well as the date/time. The cancel unsigned order process has been modified to record the person who cancelled the order. At this time, CPRS users are not allowed to enter a reason for the cancellation. For this change, the reason will always be recorded as 'Requesting Physician Cancelled".
