 The Pharmacy Product System - National (PPS-N) is a Web-based application
 that provides the ability to manage pharmacy-specific data across the VA 
 enterprise ensuring that all facilities are using the same base data 
 for their operations. It allows approved national VA personnel to easily, 
 quickly, and safely manage the VA National Formulary which directs which 
 products(such as medications and supplies) are to be purchased and used 
 by the VA hospital system. 
  
 The purpose of this informational PPS-N application patch is to fix the 
 NDC mismatch for a VA Product when a NDC lookup is performed. This patch 
 also corrects the problem where a VA Print Name for a product is 
 truncated if it includes a special character like a double quotation mark.

 1. INC18029200 - NDC: 99900-1533-14 is mapped to two different products in
 VistA (NDC/UPN file). When the NDC lookup is performed, it pulls
 up two different products.
               
 2. INC21919622 - (HPSCLIN-5743/PPSN-1298) the VA Print Name is cut off
 after the " for CATHETER,EXTERNAL 2IN TUBE LG UROCARE #511235[XZ638].
  
 Problem 1
 -----------
 PPS-N ticket INC18029200, this issue is related to NDCs being 
 mapped to incorrect products in VistA (NDC/UPN file). When the NDC lookup 
 is performed, system pulls up two different products.
  
 Problem 2
 -----------
 INC21919622 issue is related to VA Print Name getting truncated if it 
 contains the double quote character ". Example, VA Print name 
 CATHETER,EXTERNAL 4" TUBE SHIELD#45010 does not appear in full but 
 appears as CATHETER,EXTERNAL 4. 
  
 Resolution 1 and 2:

 Update the portion of JAVA code to fix the NDC mismatch number when the 
 NDC lookup is performed and fix the VA Print Name cut off after the 
 special character.
