At the Select MailMan Menu Option: prompt type in RML for the Read/Manage Messages. 3. At the Read mail in basket: prompt select the basket the routine backup Message is stored in. 4. NO other parts are backed up, not even globals. You may use the 'Summarize Message' option of PackMan to see what parts the message contains. Those parts that are not routines should be backed up separately if they need to be preserved. Shall I preserve the routines on disk in a separate back-up message? YES// Answering yes to this prompt is optional. The site can reinstall the patch with or without creating back-up of the back-up. If the user answers YES to this prompt: At Subject: type in a descriptive subject. At Send mail to: enter the user to send this message. At Select basket to send to: select the basket to send this message. It will default to the IN basket. At And Send to: select any additional user to receive the Message or hit enter to continue. A message similar to the following will be presented to the user: Building PackMan backup message with subject backup PackMan backup message [12636709] sent. Line 2 Message #12636709 Unloading Routine GMPLNTRT (PACKMAN_BACKUP) If the user answers NO to this prompt, the user will be presented with a message similar to this: Line 2 Message #12636709 Unloading Routine GMPLNTRT (PACKMAN_BACKUP) 10. The user will be returned to the Select PackMan function prompt. Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of the development team, health product support and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between the development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. Prior to installing PSJ*5*364, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed up routines can be installed with the "Xtract PackMan" action at the Message Action prompt, then function 6 - INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE. If for some reason the backup is not available, one can be provided by customer support or the development team. Enter a ServiceNow ticket to obtain this concurrence. The development team will then assist with the back-out process. Validation of Roll Back Procedure --------------------------------- The Roll Back Procedure can be verified by printing the first 2 lines of the PSO Routines contained in this patch using the First Line Routine Print [XU FIRST LINE PRINT] option. Once the routines contained in the PSJ*5*364 patch have been rolled back, the second line of the routines will no longer contain the designation of patch PSJ*5*364.
