The specific enhancements are listed below. Increase Days to Keep PADE Outbound Messages from 30 days to 90 days. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The number of days PADE outbound messages will remain on file before being purged has been increased from 30 days to 90 days. The nightly background purge process has been modified to purge PADE outbound messages from the PADE OUTBOUND MESSAGES file (#58.72) after 90 days to provide additional time for troubleshooting. Resend Active Clinic Orders on Check-In ------------------------------------------- The PADE interface has been modified to support the optional resending of active clinic orders when a clinic check-in occurs. New parameters have been added to the PADE SYSTEM SETUP file (#58.7) to control whether appointment check-in does or does not trigger the patient's active clinic orders for that clinic location to be sent to the PADE device. The parameter values may be defined by PADE System, Division, PADE Clinic Group, VistA Clinic Group, Clinic, and PADE Wildcard Clinic. The new parameters are independent of the "DAYS TO PULL AHEAD FOR BG JOB" parameters, so that it's possible the same order may be sent twice - the first time prior to check-in based on the "DAYS TO PULL AHEAD FOR BG JOB" parameter, and then again when the appointment check-in occurs. When a patient checks in to a clinic with a send area, all of the patient's active order associated with that send area will be resent. Post-Installation Instructions: There are no post-installation instructions for this patch. Back-Out/Roll Back Plan: ------------------------ Back-out will be done only with the concurrence and participation of development team and appropriate VA site/region personnel. The decision to back-out or rollback software will be a joint decision between development team, VA site/region personnel and other appropriate VA personnel. Prior to installing an updated KIDS package, the site/region should have saved a backup of the routines in a mail message using the Backup a Transport Global [XPD BACKUP] menu option (this is done at time of install). The message containing the backed-up routines can be loaded with the "Xtract PackMan" function at the Message Action prompt. The Packman function "INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE" is then used to install the backed-up routines onto the VistA System. To back-out data from a production account could cause errors. Contact the Help desk to log a ticket.
