It was found after release to the field that if an Inpatient exempt veteran on the domiciliary ward has an outpatient drug ordered, that a copay charge was being billed to the veteran. This patch will correct this issue. This patch should take less than 5 minutes to install. 1. Choose the PackMan message containing this patch and invoke the INSTALL/CHECK MESSAGE PackMan option. 2. From the Kernel Installation & Distribution System menu, select the Installation menu. 3. From this menu, you may select to use the following options (when prompted for INSTALL NAME, enter PSO*7*480). a. Backup a Transport Global - this option will create a backup message of any routines exported with the patch. It will NOT backup any other changes such as DDs or templates. b. Compare Transport Global to Current System - this option will allow you to view all changes that will be made when the patch is installed. It compares all components of the patch (routines, DDs, templates, etc.). c. Verify Checksums in Transport Global - this option will ensure the integrity of the routines that are in the transport global. 4. Use the Install Package(s) option and select patch PSO*7*480 to install. 5. When prompted "Want KIDS to INHIBIT LOGONs during the install? NO//", respond NO. 6. When prompted "Want to DISABLE Scheduled Options, Menu Options, and Protocols? NO//", respond NO. Post-Installation Instructions ------------------------------ A post install routine PSO480P will run after PSO*7*480 installs. This routine will run through the Outpatient Pharmacy file #52 by install date of patch PSO*7*460, which introduced this problem, and check every fill for a veteran to determine if they are on a domiciliary ward and were charged a copay. If they were charged a copay, then a cancel charge will be sent to the Integrated Billing package for this copay charge. Several reports will be printed with information for each copay that was cancelled. The detailed report will contain the following information and will be sent to the mailman message of the person installing the patch along with the developers of the patch as well as a couple of Pharmacy Benefits Management team members: Release Date Patient DFN RX # Fill # IB Action Type Total AMT AR Bill # Institution The delimited report will contain the same information as the detailed report and will be separated by a carat '^' between data so it can be pulled into an excel spreadsheet if so desired.
