This release was developed as part of the Medical Care Collection Fund (MCCF) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Transaction Application Suite (TAS) project. Below is a list of all the applications involved in this release along with their patch numbers: APPLICATION/VERSION PATCH --------------------------------------------------------------- ELECTRONIC CLAIMS MANAGEMENT ENGINE (ECME) V. 1.0 BPS*1*26 OUTPATIENT PHARMACY (OP) V. 7.0 PSO*7*544 INTEGRATED BILLING (IB) V. 2.0 IB*2*636 CMOP V. 2.0 PSX*2*87 All four of these patches are being released via a Kernel Installation and Distribution System (KIDS) multi-build distribution. KIDS multi-build name: BPS PSO IB PSX BUNDLE 13.0 KIDS Host File name: BPS_1_26_PSO_IB_PSX.KID This specific patch contains the following functionality: --------------------------------------------------------- 1. With this enhancement, the system will automatically close 79/88 rejects for back-billed and/or resubmitted claims, preventing them from appearing on the pharmacy worklist. This enhancement applies only to reject 79 (refill too soon) and reject 88 (drug utilization review), and reject 943 (Pharmacy override using DUR/PPS not allowed). The existing field CLOSE REASON, on the REJECT INFO sub-file of the PRESCRIPTION file, will be updated to include a new possible value of 9 to indicate "BACK-BILL/RESUBMISSION AUTO RESOLVED", which will be the close reason given for such auto-resolved 79/88/953 rejects. 2. The system will automatically add a comment for a claim that cannot be resubmitted due to an existing bill in Claims Tracking. The comment will read "OPECC to Cancel Existing Bill in IB & Resubmit Claim" (OPECC, Outpatient Pharmacy Electronic Claims Coordinator). 3. When a prescription is pulled early from suspense, the system will not send a claim if the last claim was rejected and all the rejects are closed/resolved. (N.B. This enhancement is unrelated to Defect 2105, which concerns non-billable TRICARE/CHAMPVA prescriptions not being sent to CMOP.)
