============================================================================= Run Date: SEP 13, 2021 Designation: PSO*7*561 Package : PSO - OUTPATIENT PHARMACY Priority: Mandatory Version : 7 SEQ #534 Status: Released Compliance Date: OCT 13, 2021 ============================================================================= Associated patches: (v)PSO*7*452 <<= must be installed BEFORE `PSO*7*561' (v)PSO*7*549 <<= must be installed BEFORE `PSO*7*561' (v)PSO*7*560 <<= must be installed BEFORE `PSO*7*561' Subject: MCCF EDI TAS EPHARMACY 17 Category: - Enhancement (Mandatory) - Routine - Data Dictionary Description: ============ This patch has enhancements that extend the capabilities of the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) electronic pharmacy (ePharmacy) billing system. This release was developed as part of the Medical Care Collection Fund (MCCF) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Transaction Application Suite (TAS) project. Below is a list of all the applications involved in this project along with their patch numbers: APPLICATION/VERSION PATCH --------------------------------------------------------------- ELECTRONIC CLAIMS MANAGEMENT ENGINE (ECME) V. 1.0 BPS*1*29 OUTPATIENT PHARMACY (OP) V. 7.0 PSO*7*561 INTEGRATED BILLING (IB) V. 2.0 IB*2*648 CMOP V. 2.0 PSX*2*91 All four of these patches are being released via a Kernel Installation and Distribution System (KIDS) multi-build distribution. KIDS multi-build name: BPS PSO IB PSX BUNDLE 17.0 KIDS Host File name: BPS_1_29_PSO_IB_PSX.KID This specific patch contains the following functionality: --------------------------------------------------------- 1. Currently, the system will not send a prescription to be filled by a Consolidate Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility if it fails the check of whether 3/4 of the previous fill's supply has been exhausted. With this release, the pharmacist users will be given the ability to indicate that the 3/4 days supply logic should be bypassed during the CMOP batch process, allowing a prescription to be sent. 2. If a TRICARE or CHAMPVA patient does not have an active policy when a claim is about to be submitted, the system will now put an eT or eC pseudo-reject code on the prescription, which will cause the prescription to appear on the pharmacist worklist.
